IntroductionWe humbly and prayerfully invite you to be part of this next step in our parish’s remarkable journey. Your sacrificial gift is an act of faith and a deliberate choice – a choice to support your community of St. Francis of Assisi and all that it represents … Growing in Faith, Building the Future. Parish Mission“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded of you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 16:19-20 A Letter from Father Frank MaroneyDear Friends of St. Francis:
St. Francis of Assisi Church, like all Catholic churches, serves Christ and His people by providing a prayerful place of worship and a place to grow in our knowledge of Christ and our mission in the world. We hope to provide a place of instruction for all ages, but especially With all of us working together we will provide the stone framework for the “Living Stones” of our parish. Father Frank Maroney Pastor, Saint Francis of Assisi A Letter from Archbichop ChaputDear Friends of St. Francis of Assisi Parish:
For the next few months St. Francis Parish will be engaged in this capital campaign. This campaign offers you (us) an opportunity to give practical shape to our vision for the future of St. Francis Parish. The vision to provide funding to construct new parish facilities is as important today as it was for the early church when it grew like a mustard seed from “house churches” to larger parish homes. We live in a world that increasingly challenges the Christian values we seek to live within our families and to instill in our children. St. Francis Parish offers vision and hope to a world hungry for direction and purpose. Your parish has been a light to Longmont, a light to keep shining brightly to let people know where there they can experience Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life. You will be asked to make a gift or pledge to “Growing in Faith, Building the Future” Capital Campaign. As with all free-will offerings, how much you give is left to your prayerful judgment. It is my prayer, needless to say, that everyone experiences the “joy of giving.” I ask you not to give until it hurts, but to give until it feels good. As Archbishop of Denver, I am confident that you have faith in the goodness of our God and in the goodness of your parish. It is up to you now to demonstrate that faith. You can demonstrate the depths of your faith by responding to this appeal for your financial investment in the future of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Thank you for your past support and for your present commitment and assistance. May God continue to bless you abundantly for your faith-filled generosity. Yours in the Joy and Peace of Christ, |

The year 2008 of Our Lord marks the beginning of providing a permanent home for our parish family. Our plan is to build a new Church and Parish facilities
Helen Keller once said, “The greatest tragedy in life is people who have sight, but no vision.” St. Francis of Assisi Parish Family is an example of a community with a vision. When I assigned Fr. Frank as pastor of Spirit of Peace parish in August 2004, I especially asked him to challenge the parish family to grow to serve the Catholic community in Longmont. Now, as St. Francis of Assisi parish, you are ready to move forward with the vision to build a new parish facility. I congratulate you on your willingness to make the sacrifices necessary to serve the Lord and His Church in Longmont through your capital campaign, called “Growing in Faith, Building the Future."
